Since 1895 the Venice Biennale has been one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world for over a century. It ranks among the world leaders for the International Film Festival, for the Int.lle Art Exhibition and the Intl. Architecture Exhibition, for the Music and Theater Festivals, and for the most recent Dance Festival. The first Exposition is inaugurated on April 30th 1895. Throughout its centuries-old history, the Venice Biennale has been going through the whole of the 1900s, flanking the International Art Exhibition with a series of events born in the 1930s: the Contemporary Music Festival (1930), the Mostra del Cinema (1932), the Theater Festival (1934). Later the sectors Architecture (1980) and Danza (1999) are born.
