EVENTS REDENTORE Since 1576 Redentore has been one of the most traditional feast in Venice. In those years because of a terrible pestilence the République of the Serenissima decided to build a huge marble basilique to thank God for saving Venice (architects Palladio and Da Ponte). The third Saturday of July many of decorated boats meet in San Marco basin from where Venetian people can admire the fireworks eating treaditional food.
